Jose Miguel Castañeda Palomera is the First Mexican Speed skater of all time, He was born in the City of Liege, Belgium in 1962, His parents are from Mexico City. In 1964 They moved to Mexico City were Jose Miguel became a Mexican Citizen; In 1983 Jose Miguel moved to the United States of America to continue his Education and Ice Speed Skating Training with the American Teams; In 1997 He became an American Citizen.
Jose Miguel Castañeda Palomera is the First Mexican to represent de country of Mexico in the sport of Ice speed skating with personal time and for Mexico of 39.37 seconds in the 500 meters; 1:40.13 in 1000 meters and 2:31.69 in 1500 meters.

Jose Miguel Castaneda Palomera es el Primer Patinador Mexicano Pionero de la Velocidad sobre Hielo y Patines de Ruedas en Linea en Mexico; Nacido en la Ciudad de Lieja, Belgica en 1962 de Padres Mexicanos, Crecio y se Desarrollo en la Ciudad de Mexico de 1964-1982 donde fue Naturalizado Mexicano. En 1983 Viajo a los Estados Unidos de Norte America para continuar con su Preparacion tanto Universitaria como Deportiva. En 1997 obtuvo la ciudadania Norteamericana.
Jose Miguel Castañeda Palomera es el Primer Mexicano que representa a Mexico en el deporte del patinaje de velocidad sobre hielo con tiempo record personal y para Mexico de 39.37 segundos en los 500 metros;1:40.13 en 1000 metros y 2:31.69 en 1500 metros.
El dia 29 de Junio de 1995 Contrajo Nupcias con Evangelina Belen Cruz Farias en la Pista Olimpica de Hielo ubicada en la Ciudad de Mexico
